I am connected to Braodband, have Norton Anti virus and Zone Alarm installed. However, when I try to connect to the internet now, the action cancelled page comes up and I cannot connect. In the bar at the bottom of the window the message 'dectecting proxy settings' appears each time. I have had the broadband engineer round and he has checked all the connections and tells me it must be a virus redirecting my browser. If I install the Dell XP reinstallation disc, will this clear the virus and return my PC back. ? If I cannot find the disc, can I download a copy from somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.
