just to clarify [for anyone else reading this]: Are you saying you want to install a vista-compatible keylogger onto your system? are you trying to spy-on / monitor other users on that system??

willenm, it is unclear to me why you would want to install a keylogger. That is a definite security-related issue. Perhaps it would be better if you posted at a website that specializes in security.

yes sad as it sounds i am a parent of three young daughters who are pretty good on the computer and they seem to get aroung some of my blocks. just keeping them out of trouble. i know it sounds bad but i am protective over my kids! sorry if this offends anyone.

If you need more than that, try posting at CastleCops. Please explain what type of controls you need and why. There are people there who can advise you on the options for software.

'keylogger' has very negative connotations.   it generally suggests an illicit program installed either unbeknownst to the user, or explicitly in defiance of a user, to spy on that user, often to steal their identity, or otherwise commit fraud.   i think that's what we were afraid of here, based on your initial posts.   use of 'parental safeguards' is, at least sociologically, a very different [and understandable] issue.   but in either case, I still have no knowledge on which to suggest/recommend any products.
