I used it for two years, while Comcast was my iSP.  Then they gave up Dallas/Fort Worth to Time Warner...and I lost the free McAfee.  I was very satisfied with it.  Decent suite of programs.  Never had any problems with Virus or the like.  With the McAfee suite...you are going to want a Spyware program.  I can personally attest to Webroot Spysweeper....but I suggest you try the 30 day trial before you purchase.  There are other options for Spyware, but the McAfee suite was actually pretty good.   If you can find a free version of Zone Alarm...give it a go

Thanks, I actually have Webroot Spysweeper now. It finds things and keeps them off the computer that other programs find but just done prevent from coming back. It is due to expire at the end of the month. I guess I will renew that, uninstall the Norton when it expires and download McAfee for a while and see how it works. I also use the free download from Lavasoft called adaware. Linda

Make sure when you uninstall Norton, that you go to their website and download the cleaner tool.  Norton leaves tons of registry entries behind.  After you're done...edit your registry.  Do a search on Norton and delete every time it comes up.  I had to do that...but the time was well worth it.  Then McAfee will run better as well.

I use McAfee with my comcast connection. I will keep it as long as it's free.
