ms antisyp not removing trojans and peper - HELP!

I am trying to repair my father in law's computer remotely and am having issues permanently getting rid of spyware etc!!  It seems that if you run the spyware program every 5 minutes, the same problems are reported.  Here is my Hijack this log...

kthorin,

Let's see what we can do...

Go to www.trendmicro.com, and then:

1. Click " Free Online Scan".
2. Click " Scan now, it's free".

It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:

1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) " Auto Clean".
3. Click " Scan".

When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.

Download, unzip to your desktop About:Buster and run it, then:

1. Click " Update".
2. Click " Check For Update"

( If no new version is available, skip to step #4.)

3. Click " Download Update", and wait for it to be installed.
4. Click " Start".

( Wait for the initial ADS scan to complete.)

5. Click "Yes", to shutdown any IE session currently open.

( Wait for the about:blank scan to complete.)

6. Click " Ok", to scan once more.
7. Click " Yes", to shutdown any IE sessions currently open.
8. Click " Yes", to begin the second pass.

9. Click " Save log", and post this log back along with your new log.
10. Click " Exit".
11. Click " Exit".

You'll need to download uninst.exe to remove the 'peper' infection, then:

1. run uninst.exe ... (first pass).
2. reboot your computer.
3. run uninst.exe ... (final pass).

Note: You must have an active internet connection, each time this program is run, for it to properly work.

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click " Config..."
2. Click " Misc Tools"
3. Click " Open Process manager"

-

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate ( if present) and click on ( highlight) each of the following:

C:\documents and settings\rich thorin\local settings\temp\CF7pJ.exe
C:\windows\system32\VTRaR.exe
C:\windows\system32\xjYK.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\CDMODEM3.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Rich Thorin\Application Data\eetu.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ipdi.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msmy32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Eola9.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Zvcyl.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click " Kill process". Now, click " Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:

regsvr32 /u d3gj32.dll

It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.

Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

kthorin,

We might have to delete them from "Safe Mode", or as a 'baddie' went down, it started something else back up in it's place. Just complete as much of it as you can, then post back a new log and let's see what you've got left.

Mike,

I have made much headway...the only problem is I cannot delete the files:

C:\windows\system32\VTRaR.exe

C:\windows\system32\CDMODEM3.exe

It won't let me delete a program that is either "write-protected or in use"  HELP!

kthorin,

When your done, let's see if there's a hidden service that we also need to fix...

Download the Get Services utility, unzip it your desktop, then:

1. Double-click on " GetServices.zip"
2. Double-click on " GetService"
3. Double-click on " GetService.bat"
4. Click " Extract all"
5. Click " Next"
6. Click " Next"
7. Click " Finish"

(Now the application is unzipped and ready to use)

8. Double-click " GetService" ( the newest folder)
9. Double-click " GetService.bat"

Wait for it to complete, then post back the contents of the log that comes up and exit Notepad.
