Multiple Trojans, viruses and no internet connection

The above is the link to my previous thread. I have now read the "Please read this before posting for malware removal help" and I downloaded onto pen drive and burnt to CD the JJT (Hijackthis) from my work computer as I cannot use the one with the problems. I then went home and tried to download this onto the infected computer but it is not recognising my pen rive or the CD rom so I cannot complete a hijack log to place on this site. How can I over come this, I can do absolutely nothing on the computer as it is frozen on the background picture with no way of accessing any drives or documents, cntl alt delete doesnt work (its says I have disbled the task manager) and pressing the windows button the keyboard doesnt either.

Have you tried booting into Safemode to see if the computer will recognize the drives?

I did try to open in safe mode, the computer screen turned blue and gave me the following message

"Stop: c0000zla {fatal system error} The windows login process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down"

You may have to do a reformat/reinstall of the operating system, but first you could try a PC Restore.

1) If your PC is newer than mid-2004, the PC Restore feature is an easier alternative to reformatting from disk, 2) what you need to have ready ahead of time, and 3) what order to do things after installing XP or Vista (especially installing drivers - the order is important):

Make sure you have updated your anti-virus and Windows. This might be a good time to get IE7.

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. It is possible that you may be running Java code in your applications that absolutely require a specific version of the JRE to run. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
Scroll down to where it says Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 12 .
Click the "Download" button to the right.
Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
NOTE: As always during installations, beware of any pre-checked option to install a toolbar. If you do not want it, UNcheck it.
The page will refresh.
Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each of the Java versions.
Close Add/Remove.
* In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Java =this folder. Delete any subfolders.
* Do NOT delete C:\Program Files\ JavaVM =this folder, if found!
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u12-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Please post a fresh log after all that so I can see if Java installed correctly. Let me know how things are running.
