New MS Spyware & AV program. Any opinions??
Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had any opinions about this new MS Spyware & AV program that has been widely reported and publicised today.
The MS site requires activation etc. but the site below downloads ok.
Read reports of the uninstall leaving traces in the registry
Thanks
Ceri

I did download it and passed up the activation part. You do have that choice.
Not sure what you are refering to as far as the remenants left in the reg, as I read that link and saw no reference to it.

Steve & Firebird
Hi,
Saw this thread in another forum, about the program being a messy uninstall.

Hi,
When I went to the MS site to download the beta, it asked for my COA number to authenticate my copy of XP before it would let me download.
Couldn't be fussed to dig it out, but found the other site.
With good AV & spyware removal & prevention anyway. I may not even need it.
Given MS Beta's, I'm still keeping clear of SP 2 I'm wary of installing this, but would welcome the view(s) of those that have.
