I've been beta testing it for a couple of months - aside from the initial beta release (which was horrible) it works just fine.

It is more comprehensive than the older version, without being as intrusive as its two major competitors (Symantec and McAfee).

I haven't used the new version.  I am using Dell Vesrion 14 from Trend Micro.
 
* I second what ejen63 said... TM is much less resource hungry of the three major AV programs being TM, McAfee and Norton.
 
However, there are lots of free software that will do the same and cost nothing.
