NIS 2004 question
I bought Norton Internet Security about a year ago. I used it for about 6 months w/ it working flawless, then I ran into some problems. Which ended in a meltdown of my computer because of a worm getting in. I kept it updated, but I don't know what happened. My school's IT guy said not to load it on again because Norton-like firewalls don't have much of an effect on worms and such. I just got a new hard drive because my last one went bad, and I have a feeling that I should load Norton back on again. What do you think?

IMO, AVG7 is best. Small, uses little resources, you get updates daily automatically.
I have never had a problem with AVG but did when I went to unintall Avast!. It wouldn't uninstall via Add/Remove completely on 2 different occasions due to no fault of mine. So you end up with a partially unistalled useless AV program jamming up the works. Then you have to take a different route to get rid of it so it won't conflict with the new one you want to put in.
So it's up to the user, but I will give you the link to AVG7 here.
