"Old" Firefox users must update immediately

If, for whatever reason, you are still running a version of Firefox lower than 128, you need to update immediately.   An essential root certificate that "signs" content is scheduled to expire tomorrow, 3/14/25, after which, all your addons will no longer work.

Moreover, these old editions of "Firefox could expose users to significant security risks and practical issues...including:

  • Malicious add-ons can compromise user data or privacy by bypassing security protections.
  • Untrusted certificates may allow users to visit fraudulent or insecure websites without warning.
  • Compromised password alerts may stop working, leaving users unaware of potential account breaches."

The same applies to users of FF ESR before v115.13

Mozilla warns users to update Firefox before certificate expires
