Please check my HIJACK this log WIN XP SP2
DELL Dimension 8400
Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer V6 both kept fully updated
Norton Internet Security (now) did have Mcafee when this started
Spybot S & D
Adaware
Various online Spyware Scanners (none purchased as not totally sure which one is the best for me)
I have tried CWShredder which found three problems when I deleted them my computer would not turn off or restart I had to do this manually, when I restarted my computer it would not load Windows it took me 12 hours (this was on a Sunday no telephone help available) to get it going again using the windows restore disk and much more time and money to put right the further problems this caused and after all that I believe as can be seen in the log these
coolwebsearch files are still there???
I have had problems since opening an email from a buyer on ebay it promptly installed a porn dialer and as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge some browser add ons I think I have been able to rid myself of a lot of the problems but I am left with some real stubborn ones. Since installing Norton things have improved but I have some problems it can't fix... "
atmpvc.dll is infected with a trojan horse and cannot be deleted" is one. Sorry if I have rambled on a bit or if I have missed important stuff out but what I really need and would be grateful for is somebody who knows what the're doing to look at this log and help me fix my problems.
Many thanks in advance for taking the time to look at this for me.

Hey wakster,
Copy the following to a notepad file for reference
Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u atmpvc.dll
regsvr32 /u trustac.dll
It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

Hi Bertha
Thanks for helping me with this.
I am afraid I am off to a poor start as I have no idea what a command prompt is or how to open one, would you mind giving me some basic info on this please. I have had a quick look on the net for info but what I found didn't fill me with confidence so if you can tell me in simple terms or direct me to a website I would be grateful

Thanks Bertha, I will be able to do that now, but first an embarrassing confession when reading your first reply I completely missed the part about unregistering the dll's and ran the Hijackthis section (why is there no Smilie for idiot) nothing bad seems to have happened because of this apart from having to waste more of your time for which I apologise but my Hijackthis log has changed so I am hoping to start over again by posting my latest log for you to look at before continuing further.
One question, should I disable my anti-virus before begining?

Hey Wakster,
No there's no need to disable your Antivirus protection
Copy the following to a notepad file
We need to disable your Microsoft AntiSpyware Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.
Let's continue on with the fix...
O2 - BHO: C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll - {7DBA5E61-9C51-4365-ACD2-DE684E133F8C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll
O2 - BHO: C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll - {C2E07B68-2F46-4DBB-8261-285794B7F8DE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LXBUCATS] rundll32 C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXBUtime.dll,_RunDLLEntry@16
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
O9 - Extra button: Real.com - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: eventss - C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: gg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".
Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders: see here
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
folders...
C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool
files...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
-
Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from Safe Mode (F8 on Satrtup)
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:
regsvr32 /u trustac.dll
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: gg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".

Create a new folder C:\Antispyware\RKFiles
Extract the contents of RKFiles.zip into the new folder you just created.
Next, Create a new Folder on Desktop. Name that Folder QOOLOGIC
Please download Findqoologic into the new Folder, and then unzip it into the new Folder.
Restart to safe mode. (tap f8 key during bootup)
Open the C:\Antispyware\RKFiles folder
Double click on RKFILES.BAT
Give it time to run. this may take a while.
Save the text file it creates.
It should save by default to C:\Log.txt
Next, open the QOOLOGIC Folder and Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
Wait until a text file opens, post it in a reply to your thread after doing the rest of what follows here.
It'll take a while to run a full scan so please be patient.
Restart into regular Windows mode and post the contents of C:\log.txt and the find-qoologic results.

Hey Wakster,
Copy the following to a notepad file for reference
Ok lets use Killbox to remove the file/folder that is being so stubborn:
Download Pocket Killbox here - http://www.malwareremoval.com/downloads.html
Now take a look at this post as it will guide you through the installation process as well as the removal process incase you get confused:
http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=320
Once you have installed Killbox we need to begin to delete the file folder:
If you look at the topic above this is what we are going to do (so read this part):
Quote: How to use KILLBOX to delete a file - Delete on reboot kill
ChrisRLG
Use task manager to end process on all instances of explorer.exe
Your desktop will disappear but that's normal. It will come back after Reboot part of this fix.
Open Killbox and check a mark in the "RadioBox" which says "Delete On Reboot"
Under "Full Path or File to Delete copy and paste this entry below:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atmpvc.dll
Now press the red cross and a new window will pop up asking you to confirm the removal CLICK YES
Now it will ask you if you wish to reboot click NO as we have more files to add first, copy and paste these entries do as above
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\clbcatix.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\miamore.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\miamore32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\trustac.dll
C:\WINDOWS\vsapi32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atmpvc.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\bkup.log
After you have added the last entry and it asks if you wish to restart CLICK YES and the computer will restart
Now run RK Files and Qoologic again posting back the results

Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.
If you haven't ran HouseCall lately, let's go back to www.trendmicro.com, download the latest definitions, and run it.
Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:
O2 - BHO: C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll - {7DBA5E61-9C51-4365-ACD2-DE684E133F8C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\atmpvc.dll (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: gg - C:\WINDOWS\system32\trustac.dll (file missing)
Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".
Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.
