Problem with McAfee

The past few days my firewall has been showing disabled when I turn my computer on.  Sometimes it works if I click the "enable" link and sometimes it does not. I just received the newest version of this software a week ago. I am on Windows XP Home Edition. The same day I also installed Webroot Spy Sweeper.

Im sorry if you thought i was being argumentive. I didnt mean it to come out that way. And sorry if you thought I was not following your advise, I was just confused with what you were asking me to do. The virus scan did come up and you seem to know what to do about it.

When you come to our forum and ask us for OUR help and say NO to what we advise you to do, there is NOTHING WE CAN DO TO HELP YOU, because you don't want to comply with what we need you to do.
Mike is the best there is!!!
If you feel uncomfortable with his advice then it is best you go to the forums that he recommended and see if they will let you control the show and clean your system up at the same time.

I wish you luck.

There is nothing more that we can do for you because you won't follow our recomendations.
Sorry.
Steve

Christin,

I'm going to recommend that someone else help you with this.

There's a few other forums that might be more successful with helping you than i've been able to do here. You can try:

www.bleepingcomputer.com
www.spywareinfo.com

Good luck with your system,

Mike.

Christin,

I've tried to both help you here on the forums, and online using an instant messenger (which I have done numerous times in the past - without incidence I might add). In all instances you've been very difficult to work with, argumentative and generally unpleasant to work with.

After many attempts to close out my assitance for you and get you to someone that might be able to provide the type of help your seeking, you continually came back here to me for help with a different agle of approach, all without resolution.

Now, if we continue in this vein, i'll need to contact a forum moderator and see if we can get this thread under control.

As I have said before, have a good afternoon,

Mike.

That is fine. I was just trying to explain how you thought I was unwilling to listen was actually me not understand what you were telling me to do. For Example; you said to  disable System Restore... How is that possible?

Sorry If my confused little mind frustrates people.

Just to update. I was on the Mcafee board and someone else had the same problem with the firewall disabling at start up. So maybe its a simple issue with some faulty software out there some where. I hope Mcafee has a custmer service

thanks to all who tried to help. ill let mcafee take care of this issue
