Sorry but I am confused...I don't understand the sequence: "Rerun hijack this"...does that mean the usual "do a system scan and save log" OR skip right to the three new steps instead and execute them as instructed? Thanks.

That's what I was looking for. I don't see any signs so far of Purity Scan. How did you know you had it? Did you get a warning from and Anti Virus program or are there some other things that made you think you had it?

Alos I noticed that there are some entries you have disabled in msconfig. Could you enable all the entires in msconfig please. Then Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

If you are asking where to find notepad, Click start ->> All Programs ->> Accessories ->> Notepad

 

When notepad opens then copy and paste what I posted before into notepad, then continue with the instructions.

 

And uninstalling Weatherbug now is o.k. it won't affect the rest of the fix

OK...went over my moves again...realize I forgot to hit "all files." OK so I go thru motions again and try and copy to clipboard and paste only the second and third commands. Killbox won't recognize my "paste from clipboard" command and manually typing them in does no good. What am I missing.
