Search Engine Hijack

I have virus protection software and a spyware program and use both regularly. My problem is whenever I use the search engine I have as my homepage I get this----

and a page that says "cannot find server". I can use other search engines but not the one I use as my homepage. Why is this so and how do I fix it? Someone says my homepage was hijacked and I need to change "its registry" . What is that and how?

GH,

Have you tried dropping the firewall then trying LiveUpdate? I believe you can checked the firewall rules to see if that specific program has access, or if the Symantec site is blocked; check under the programs and sites section for the firewall.

What file was specified as being deleted for TROJ_AGENT-1?

Also, is the Symantec problem related to your initial post concerning you homepage, or did it just occur?
