What makes you think the Security Warning is an "error"? There is a reason you are seeing that when you are on some sites that may be delivering questionable content. I suggest that you set that to "PROMPT". Otherwise, lowering your security puts you at risk.
Let's check a few things.

Download Security Check by screen317 and save it to your Desktop: here or here

  • Run Security Check
  • Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the command window.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; close Notepad. We will need this log, too, so remember where you've saved it!
  • Please post the log in your next reply.

If one of your security applications (e.g., third-party firewall) requests permission to allow DIG.EXE access the Internet, allow it to do so.

If it did not work you may have a security program blocking it.

Reboot into Safemode.
Open Internet Explorer. You will be offline.

In IE click on Tools >Internet Options> Security tab.  Change the Internet Zone to Medium.

As far as that message:
"If you want to display mixed content in IE 8 you should click "No". The previous versions of IE asked the user "Do you want to display the secure and non secure content?" You click "Yes" If you want to display mixed content."
