Simple (minded?) question for a slow day
Not very important, but I wondered. On the lower right of IE staus bar, there is, periodically, an eye with red ball in front of it that is labeled "Privacy Report". Spyad, I hope, or is it from something else?
Thanks,
Nancy

It is IE reporting that a connection from the current website has tried to go to a restricted website to get something - this would (if you have ie-spyad installed) be an ad site that is in your restricted sites list.
If you click that icon it will give more detailed data on what was stopped. From ristricted sites IE will stop the installs of things like acticveX controls and the installing of cookies.

I've tried clicking right, left, double; I don't get anything but "Privacy Report". I don't always notice when it pops up. Maybe I need to click quicker. Doesn't really matter, as long as it's working. Mainly I wanted to be sure spyad was installed. I know it was downloaded, but it's so discreet it's hard to tell. However, I found it in regedit, so it must be working. As always, thank you for your kind reply.
