Spyware has taken over
I am currently running SpyBot and Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta 1, plus I have updated McAffee Antivirus software, which sadly I downloaded after my pc was infected. I've called microsoft a few times and still my problem hasn't been resolved. Everytime I wan anti-spyware the files are located and deleted yet when I restart my computer the same problems persist. The system shuts down "fatal error" with blue screen. I'm bombarded by pop-ups. I'm blocked from visiting certain websites. I've run Adaware SE and it always locates a file that it cannot delete. When I find this file in my harddrive I cannot manually delete.
Please help! I've lost a restore point prior to infectiona don't know what to do.

That's exactly what happens to me. In fact, I get pop-ups when I'm scanning my computer for spyware. Go figure. I've been told my microsoft that the only thing I can do at this point is completely clean out my computer and reinstall the factory settings.

Here are some instuctions to get you started:
Go to here and do an online scan and delete whatever it finds. Be sure to highlight the drives you want to have searched.
After that could you please go to here
and download AdAwareSE and delete what it finds. Then while using
AdAware, click on add-ons and get their plug-in for the VX2 variant,
and run that and delete what it finds.
After that go to here
and download SpyBot and run that and delete what it finds.
Now go to
here and download HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:\ drive.
After it is downloaded open the program and click Scan and Save to log.
Post the log that it generates here.

Let's see what's running on that system; post up a HiJackThis log for analysis.
Download, then unzip to " C:\HJT", the newest version of HiJackThis; version 1.99.1. Now, let's do the following:
1. Click " Scan"
2. Click " Save log"
Notepad will pop-up with a copy of your system long, then:
1. " Edit | Select all"
2. " Edit | Copy"
Next, let's " Reply" back to this post, then:
1. Right-click on the message body.
2. Select " Paste"
Then just " Post" the message, and we'll analyze your log shortly, then post back any recommendation(s).

If your having a problem getting the 1.99.1 version to run properly on your system, try downloading and running the previous version; HiJackThis 1.98.2.
