Spyware remover - XoftSpy - What about it?

Question

I ran free scan of XoftSpy from Bleepingcomputer site. It found 5 objects. As usual, will only remove if you pay.

My questions: Is ParetoLogic a reputable company? Has anyone used XoftSpy? Is it worth $40? Better than the freeware? I'd appreciate any input about this program. Thanks

BleepingComputer is pushing this one? It's on the list of Rogue_anti-spyware. My advise would be to stick with Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.

Derf, I retraced my steps. Can't believe Ms Paranoid was so careless. They weren't pushing it, they were advertising it. Guess that's not the same thing. I wasn't on guard, because of the site I was on.

I ran the old version of HJT & can't find any of the listings there. Xoft's scan listed Winpup x2, CWS x2, Alexa, Marketscore. I wondered how I could have all that with no symptoms.

I had printed out a list of rogue products quite some time ago, but couldn't find it last pm. I've been unplugged for 18 hrs, due to storms.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to remove it now.
