I downloaded/installed SAS 8 on a Win10 test system. It alleged that it would keep all my customized settings, but I didn't actually confirm this.
There were pre-checked options to include/download/install Google Chrome, and set it as the default browser. Be sure to UNcheck these options unless you actually want Chrome! I also declined the 14-day limited/"trial" version.
Aside from these options, the user interface appears to be very much the same as v6... except: 1) there's now a system tool to enable "game mode" (to stop receiving any notifications that may interfere when you're playing a game).... and 2) the REPAIRS tool --- which was the primary reason I keep SAS around --- has been relegated to resetting the Windows firewall (at least, on the Win10 system I used for this test)... none of the other repairs showed up :-( [We'll have to see if this also happens when I install it on Win7.]
