Buggy software here, sometimes when I reply to a post  and hit submit, it comes back with the error, too many characters in the subject line.

1. I did not create it
2. There really is not to many characters, so I just remove the last character and it posts.

Sorry it needed to be in this forum.
I have this forum in my 'favorites list'

The last topic before this one (when I posted) was one with a very long title with no spaces.
It caused the favorites section of the display to grab some half of my screen. :(

By making this topic be the last in the forum it removed that topic from that display.
It also proved what was wrong with this forum software - on that issue.

If you wish to test this - using a forum in your favorites list - post a topic with a long subject such as this. :-

This_is_a_topic_with_a_very_long_subject_title_and_will_make_the_display_wrong

then see what happens to your view of the forum :)

The issue here is not the length of text - but that no spaces were as part of the text.

The ordinary member had posted a URL which obviously contained no spaces, which caused the problem to show up.

A few HJT works had seen something wrong with thier own screen display of the forums and wanted to find out what caused it. Hence the test post.

Hopefully the mods will let the developers of the software know of the problem.
