The task that will not go away
I have a task that continually adds itself to the startup process - JMTMKLR.EXE and JMTMKLRA.EXE. I'm able to kill the tasks via the task managers and remove them from the startup registry using a Microsoft Defender, but after rebooting the PC - they return. I can't figure out where they are coming from. Any ideas what to check.
They only reappear after a hard boot. Login on and off does not cause the tasks to execute.

It is not unusual for viruses to create randum file names and insert themselves into various areas of the pc operating system. Lets do this
Go here and download Hijackthis
http://dsvs.org/5/HijackThis.exe
Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\\HJT\\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here.

Please do not be tempted to "fix" on your own. Hijackthis is a very powerful tool, if used incorrectly can cause system problems
