Trojan Horse
i have just found a trojan horse virus on my system! i have tried to get rid of it with norton 2003 with no success. i am very new to all of this and i don't know what to do next? anything i have read so far sounds to complicated for me to do? like starting the computer in safe mode and changing stuff. if you don't know what you're doing (me) you could stuff your computer? the other thing i don't understand is if i have norton loaded on my computer how come it didn't pick this up befor it installed itself? i hope someone out there can help me with some advice.

Precisely what is the trojan and since I assume it was detected by NAV, what was the action taken? If, by chance it is in quarantine, just delete it.

Hi Dan
Thank you for your help. I don't know what kind of Trojan Horse it is? My computer was running slower than usual so I thought I would run Norton 2003 it picked the virus up but couldn't quarantine or delete it. I don't know why Norton didn't pick it up?

Good advice from Dan. There are programs that will remove Trojans from your computer if you would rather not, or are not sure of how to do it. There is a program from Simply Super Software called "Trojan Remover". It is pretty well recommended and I have used it on my son's computer with no ill effects. You can check it here: http://www.simplysup.com/. I think you can get a free 30 days on it.
