U-Haul hacked

Criminals breached U-Haul truck rental contracts from Nov. 5, 2021, to April 5, 2022, containing names, birth dates, and driver’s license numbers.

U-Haul said the breach was discovered in July of this year and their full-scale investigation wrapped up in August.  U-Haul has identified over 2 million customers who were impacted.

U-Haul is sending letters to impacted customers. If you don’t receive a letter, your data was not involved.

U-Haul is offering free membership to credit monitoring and identity protection services for impacted customers.
