Today is "Microsoft Tuesday" --- the SECOND Tuesday of the month --- on which Microsoft is expected to release its monthly cycle of Windows security updates. Based on previous history, they should become available at 1 P.M. [USA - Eastern DAYLIGHT SAVING Time]
Remark: I personally have not used Java in years, and have not felt the loss. I maintain Java at work, since some programs we use need (or at least, needed) it.
There are also some newer versions 11.x and 14.x , which apparently offer a fuller Java Development Kit (JDK) for people creating Java applications. I don't see JRE for 11 nor 14.
Remark: MyPal is a PaleMoon "clone", which is still updated to run on XP (as well as newer systems)
And from Palemoon release: If you have changed the preferences option to "use hardware acceleration when available" between 28.9.0 and this release, it is recommended that you go into preferences and toggle the option off/on to the preferred setting to correct any discrepancies.
