Hi,
I have free Microsoft security Essential [Virus & Spyware definitians] as my Anti virus.
[I had in the past use Avast with Vista. Avast use to do automatic updates, I remember, because when ever it does an update a female voice informs of the update has taken place. ]
I would like to know if the Microsoft Security Essential will do an automatic update as and when new definition is released.
I have been manually twice a day [6-8 hours apart] click on the update buton on Microsoft Security Essential and most often I would notice a new definition being installed. I feel, If I don't do the manual update, for unknown numer of hours my computer may not be without the latest version of the definitions to protect my computer.
Is ther any merits in that assumption of mine or it has no foundation?
