virus scan freezing up on a certain target...

Hello. Everytime I try to do a virus scan with my trend micro internet security program, the scan stops at 74% and freezes up and i have to reboot my computer everytime.  But everytime it freezes the certain target says C:\Windows\System...I386\RIPSUI.DLL.  So why can i complete my scan, why does it freeze on this certain target?  Is there something wrong?
