Okay, I used VundoFix. The addmorefiles.txt log says this:

C:\windows\system32\fudjosuw.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\orutv.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\orutv.bak2
C:\WINDOWS\system32\orutv.ini
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vturo.dll
C:\windows\system32\wusojduf.ini

Everything seeeems to be working fine. The only thing I see is that firefox keeps asking me to examine every certificate.. Odd. Is it related?

Your still infected. If you want to continue then

Please download Combofix and save to your desktop:
  • Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop
    Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the contents of the C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

I'm trying, but it just keeps saying it is preparing to run. I started the program and left the computer for over an hour. When I came back, it was still on this screen..

Sorry for the delay in responding.

We will do it another way. Just leave combofix on the desktop, we may need to use it later.

1. We Need to temporarily disable SpyBotS&D Tea timer so it doesn't interfere with our fix
  • 1) Run Spybot-S&D
    2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
    3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
    4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
    5) Restart your computer.

2. Please download the Killbox.
  • 1)Save it to the desktop
    2) Rt Click->>Extract all->.Extract it to your Desktop
    3) Double Click Killbox.exe to run it
4)Select " Delete on Reboot", and then select "All files".
    5) Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\fudjosuw.dll

    6) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose " Paste from Clipboard".
    7) Click the red-and-white " Delete File" button.  Click " Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt.

3. Rerun Hijackthis (scan only) and place checks beside the following entries
  • O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SystemOptimizer] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\fudjosuw.dll",forkonce
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Sen] "C:\DOCUME~1\Claire\APPLIC~1\ASEMBL~1\scanregw.exe" -vt yazb
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Dtzr] C:\WINDOWS\M?crosoft.NET\n?pdb.exe
Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select " Fix checked"

Close Hijackthis ->> Reboot your PC ->> Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hiajckthis log

Everything seems more normal. My firewall didn't ask me about weird programs when I booted. Firefox still keeps asking about certificates though..

Is everything looking normal?

It's looking better, we still have a few things to clean up. And after we finish cleaning we will address the certificate issue, if it still exists.

Do you still have Vundofix?

1.
We are going to run Vundofix again, but alter the instructions slightly
Run VundoFix
  • At the Main window Rt Click in the Open Box and Select Add Files
    A second window will open
Copy and paste the following into the first 2 lines

    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\qomkife.dll
      C:\WINDOWS\system32\efikmoq.*
      C:\WINDOWS\system32\liw.dll
      C:\WINDOWS\system32\wil.*

Select Add Files ->> Repeat untill they are all loaded Then Close Window
  • Click the Remove Vundo button. Do not click the Scan for Vundo Button
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.

In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

2.
Rerun Hijackthis (scan only) and place checks beside the following entries
  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {39C6B6C8-E01E-3175-B583-04FDA1EE088B} - C:\Program Files\Dzyebyoi\ehaabgje.dll (file missing)

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: winmyy32 - winmyy32.dll (file missing)

Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select " Fix checked"

Close Hijackthis ->> Reboot your PC and post a fresh Hijackthis log

Excellent.

Rerun Killbox
  • At the main window Select Tools ->> Delete Temp Files
At the next window uncheck XP Prefetch
    Leave the other boxes checked
Select " Delete Selected Temp Files"
Allow the tool to run. When it is finished (You will know that it is finished because the checks will disappear from the location boxes)
    Select " Exit"
Then Select " Exit" again to close Killbox
Reboot your PC ->> Give me an update on how your PC is running now

Arisia

Glad to hear it. And you are most welcome.

You may now remove/delete/uninstall the tools we used to clean your PC

Now that your log is clean

There are some final notes:
Disable and Enable System Restore
  • Lets create a clean System Restore point
    the instructions are here

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of
    Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.u2.
Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
Click the " Download" button to the right.
Check the box that says: " Accept License Agreement".
    The page will refresh.
Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u2-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Make your Internet Explorer more secure
This can be done by following these simple instructions:
  • Open Internet Explorer click Tools->> Options.
    Click Security tab
Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
    Click Custom Level.
Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
Change the Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
When all these settings have been made, click OK.
If it prompts you to save the settings, press Yes.
Next press Apply and then OK to exit the Internet Properties page

Update your Anti Virus Software

Use and maintain a Firewall

Install IE SPYAD for protection against innocent looking websites that are not innocent

Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently for critical updates

Backup your Important Documents and Files on a regular basis
  • To a disc or a USB key, not your Hardrive
