Winfixer elimination
Sorry but I disagree. I have bought PCtools and it might prevent your brower from accessing the Winfixer website but it does NOT eliminate the browser from calling the popup or delete the Winfixer files.
They were sporty enough to back up their 30 day money back guarantee. I kept Registry Mechanic which seems to be doing a good job.

To get rid of winfixer popup and all you need is to download spybot ( install and update it )and run a scan with that, it can be found here.
