Winfixer/Virtumundo
I ran a Spyaudit from webroot.com (ChrisM reccomends it in his FAQ). It says that I have virtumundo on my computer. I have been getting ads for winfixer and thespyguard. I downloaded VirtumundoBeGone, but it doesn't work on Windows 98. How can I get rid of the virtumundo problem?

* Save it to your Desktop
* Close all running programs (including your Internet Browser)
* Double-click VirtumundoBeGone.exe on the desktop
* Follow the directions as indicated
please be advised that this program will generate a "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH"... this is an expected/necessary part of the process, so don´t be surprised when it happens.
just reboot if your system "jams"
this is thanks to something i found in this very forum
this is for virtumundo just run this file and it will be gone

hi you may not have the virtumundo
btw try and remove the winfixer program from add/remove programs in control panel
look for entries in the registry that says winfixer
start-run regedit
edit find (type in winfixer and delete all entries)
also spysweeper may help
