EMC API, Thin (Virtual) Devices and their protection level

Hello everybody,

I am using EMC API to get information about our Raid devices.

I know for a fact, that we have Thin (Virtual) Devices and also some normal Raid 1 devices.

When I call EMC API (SymDevice call to fill in EMCSYMDV macro) I can see that the Raid 1 devices,

have properly set mirrors (Mirror1 is Raid1, rest is nothing which is valid information).

But our Thin devices don't have any mirror set up.

Should Thin devices also have mirrors set up?

If not, how can I check protection level of Thin Devices (from API call)?
