OR HOT PUSH error VMAX - VNX

Hello ,

        I am trying to push data from VMAX to VNX and recieving below error message .

-bash-3.2$ sudo symrcopy -sid xxxx -f xxxx-PUSH  -push -hot  create -nop

when i verified symapi log here is what it see .

Dir 7E 0 is connected to VNX  since i don't want involve  both FA s

run symdev show for that device, every FA that device is mapped to needs to be zoned to VNX, and those same ports need to be registered and be part of the storage group.

i think you have to zone every dir that your source device is mapped to ..and add those dir to VNX storage group.

Thanks for your quick response Dynamox ,  devices are dded to a SG in VNX and i can also see them in VMAX , looks like zoning second FA might help .

all the directors port(that the device is mapped to) should be zoned to both the SP.

Thanks for both of your reply , Yes you are correct after mapping is dose as per requirement i was able to create OR session and was able to start the migration .
