No file like that (symavoid) in the config directory.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that this install has been around for approx. 12 months, so server etc has been rebooted several times.
We recently installed a new set of VMAXs across 2 sites (so we now have 4 in total) and when setting up SRDF etc for these ones, I noticed the same thing happening (Site 1 sees 1 x VMAX, site 2 sees 2 x VMAX) which is why I'm only looking into this now.

I'm not aware of this file, so I suspect not. Can you point me to where this file is located, please and I will take a look.

For Windows (default): C:\Program Files\EMC\SYMAPI\config
For UNIX (default): /var/symapi/config
