Using vCenter Orchestrator to deploy VMs

Question

Hello, I'm working in a lab environment trying to automate the creation of VMs.  I am new to Orchestrator, but have been able to create a workflow that creates a VM and adds it to my AD Domain using the Active Directory plug-in.  What I'm looking to find out is if it's possible to use Orchestrator to automate adding an Operating System and what the best way to do that is. I realize I could rely on VM cloning or a template, but I'm hoping to be able to select the desired OS as part of the workflow rather than cloning from a VM that has an OS on it already.  Is this possible with Orchestrator or do I need to use vCAC or another tool? Thanks in advance

To add to this, if anyone knows how to automate any of the following once the VM is created, I'd appreciate any info.

* Changing a Computer Name

* Adding new VM to DNS

* Install VMware Tools (I can mount the Installer, but it doesn't install automatically)
