16 TB shared folder on VNXe

I need to create a share folder of 16 TB. How I can create?
Suppose I have 12  2TB NL-SAS disks

Thanks

Cergio -

The VNXe supports up to 16 TB file systems, so that need is no problem.

It sounds like you may need to start by configuring the disks. That's in System > Storage Pools > Configure Disks. NL-SAS is configured as 4+2 RAID 6 for the best balance of capacity and availability.

Are you looking to create an NFS export or a CIFS share? Either one requires the configuration of the appropriate server first. Head to Settings > Shared Folder Server Settings > Add Shared Folder Server.

Once that's complete, you create the actual share in Storage > Shared Folder > Create.

That should do it for you.

Best,

Matt

Out of curiosity, what will you use the 16TB filesystem for? Would you back it up?

It is for customer requirements in a tender offer.
