Create CIFS server execution error unable to locate any domain controller
Hi, I'm new to the configuration on the VNXe3200 and I just tried creating a CIFS share but got the error "Unable to locate any Domain Controller in the Active Directory domain.
I found a search result for this message previously on this discussion board and went through the troubleshooting steps provided on that discussion thread but did not work.
It says to open a case, but Im not allowed on the support or chat website yet due to a 'verification process?" , does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi,
Unable to locate domain controller indicates that VNXe is not able to reach domain controller over network.
Open Unisphere and navigate to settings-->more configuration-->routing configuration and try to ping DNS IP address by selecting CIFS server IP which will be used to communicate to DNS.
If DNS ping fails, you need to check your network configuration why DNS is not reachable. You can check default gateway, VLAN information, routing information in case router in place.
If DNS IP pings, then we need to check further why DC is not found under provided DNS. Check your DNS configuration and check if you can find DC information updated properly.
To give appropriate information why issue is occurring, need VNXe logs for analysis.
