Devices/Interfaces down but GUI show´s everything Green.....

Hello Everybody,

i have an Issue with an 5300, i have Configured 2 LACP Links and over them a FSN. When i plug off the cables of the first Channel the FSN kicks in and switches to the second Channel.... everything fine so far.....

But if i plug out all Cables from server_2 then nothing happens..... no Error Message, no status Change for the Interface on the GUI nothing...... if i check the Status with server_sysconfig i see that the lacp/fsn is down, also the Interface....

Has Anyone an Idea, why i´ve got no Errors on the GUI? i tried to reboot the CS/DM but that changes nothing...... Also to mention, that there is no DataMover Failover when cutting out all the Network Devices from server_2

regards,

Martin

datamover will not reboot due to loss of network connectivity, it's just not one of the triggers. As far as seeing error in the GUI, can you confirm you see "link down" even in "server_log server_2" output ?

Yes i just find the Informations that a Failover is not Initiated when Network is lost.......

I can see the Link down here:

server_log output

server_sysconfig -v -i [Devicename]

server_sysconfig -pci

My Main Problem is that if the Customer starts his Unisphere.... the System stay´s on Yellow/Green (in my case Yellow because this is a system with only one SPS.....) and now Info is shown about the Link down......

Do a refresh and invalidate cache on UniSphere

If it still shows it wrong then open a service request

Hi,

the same Question i asked durning the IMPL training...

for the DM everything is fine, it's port is still up and he don't monitor if there is a network connection or not.

I ve the same opinon like you and think that should be " different " solved ... but it is how it is )-:
