DFS Replication
Hello,
our problem is to use DFS for Replication.
So we have a CIFS-Share on a VNX 5300 and want to replicate it
via the DFS-mechanism to a W2k8 DFS-Target (and vice versa)
Is this meanwhile possible?
(i know. at least it was unfortunatly not) :-\

One way to get some traction is to open a new feature request for DFS replication for VNX. There were a few NFRs for Celerra DFS replication in the past but it doesn't seem like those features were added to the VNX.

I am not aware of any non-Windows platform that has implemented DFR-R (aka FRS)
Not even the Samba guys have reverse engineered it
As far as I know it depends heavily on NTFS and Windows internals
