I've got two VNXe 3300 units on two separate datacenters, and the only kind of volumes I have created are generic iSCSI ones.

I've managed to create the replication destinations and establish the replication session, however, it is set as manual and tagged with "Check Replication Manager" as their status.

I've found out that for this kind of replication, it is mandatory to use this paid software, even having bought the Remote Protection Suite. I'm still working with my vendor and EMC on how to get this license, apparently you can get past the installation without the license and reach the login screen.

However, when I try to connect to my replication destination, it fails. It tries to connect on port 65432 (and that's the port which the manual tells you to connect), however, the VNXe unit is not listening on this port (using netstat via ssh).

I've read the manual throughly and haven't found any setting whatsover which I'd have to enable on the VNXe to have a Replication Manager connected on it.

What am I missing? Is there any way to leave those replications by themselves and have them running without using Replication Manager (the Remote Protection Suite really does not cover iSCSI replications)?
