The Unisphere Release notes for every new release or patch has all the alert or event codes added / changed in that particular release.

For the full list of alerts / events and their codes, I found that the Unisphere notification template creation window has the most event codes, or at least more than I could find in any document. I've copied all the events and pasted them into a PDF document, attached to my reply.

Keep in mind that I divided the alerts by category first (Alerts, SnapView, San Copy, Virtual Provisioning, NQM, MirrorView, VNX Snapshot and Basic Array Features). Within each category, the alerts are divided by severity (critical, error, warning and informational). Some categories might not have alerts belonging to a particular severity.

A couple of notes:

• Where I got this info from: On Unisphere (or Unisphere Client), select a system, navigate to Monitoring > Event Notification > Create Template > Explicit Events > Advanced. I simply copied all the events into the PDF file. The file is just dumped text, I didn't edit it much so you'll have to navigate the category/severity sections manually.

• This was captured off of Unisphere Client version 1.3.6.1.0096. Any events introduced in any further releases will not be included in this document.

If these event code explanations are not enough for some reason, then I'd suggest opening up a ticket with the support team with the exact alert you want further information about, or searching the support website (https://support.emc.com/) for a relevant KB article explaining what the alert means.
