problem initializing a VNX 3500

Hi, when initializing a VNX 3500, everything looks great, but when I try to add the first DAE on bus 1, it should normally be assigned Bus 1 Enclosure 0, however the system detects it as Bus 1 Enclosure 1.  All additional Enclosures, when added on the same bus behave as expected and incremented accordingly. i.e.  Bus 1 EA2,  Bus 1 EA3, etc. Any thoughts on why the first Enclosure on Bus 1 wont take EA0 and possibly how to force it? This is my first time working on VNX3500 but i've read elsewhere that there is typically a way to toggle on the back of the chassis, however, on the 5300 i was unable to identify this option.  I checked both physically as well as in the documentation i have access to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.. SNK

You should check out this support.emc.com KB article emc 267717. How to number VNX series DAE enclosures sequentially.

It lists the tasks you need to do to get the number correct.
