Using the EMC Storage Integrator Powershell Toolkit to query Data Mover
Is it possible to use the ESIPSToolkit to query the status for replications? My infra is has a few VNX5300s and I'm using Unisphere to check the status of replication (data protection, mirrors and replications -> replications for file)
I'm new to the organization and and I have been tasked with generating a scheduled email with the status. I've installed the ESIPStoolkit and connected to my system but need a little guidance on how to obtain the replication status (if its possible). Not sure what other info you would need to help me out here (running ESI 3.87, the VNX has software rev 5.32.000.5.216, the ESIPSToolkit module is ver 1.0).
If its not possible with Powershell, can it be done via some sort of scripted SSH session?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

We're replicating CIFS shares using Data movers.

I havent use the ESI PowerShell Toolkit myself but a quick glance doesn’t look like it implements function for CIFS replications.
Skripting with ssh to the control station is simple – just do a nas_replicate there
For parsing the undocumented “nas_replicate –report” is particular useful since it produces csv output
Other option would be to install VNX M&R
It has a report for replication sessions that can be scheduled to send via Emai
See https://support.emc.com/products/28885_VNX-Family-Monitoring-&-Reporting
It comes with a 90 day eval license – after that you can get a permanent license from the licensing team
