read/write policy in a storage group

hello.it seems a very newbie question but i cant find the answer on net.

i make it simple.here is the situation.there is a LUN and two hosts in a storage group. host 1 and host 2. hosts have same authorities to access the LUN. my question is , what happens if host 1 delete something that is important for host 2? or host 2 write things in LUN which are not usable for host 1. my question is what will be the policy of read/write/delete in a storage group?

SAN block storage is NOT like NAS file storage

a LUN is rarely used by two hosts at the same time.

IF it is then its the responsibility of the client operation system / Hypervisor to ensure consistency

the only use I know there its managed by a cluster file system

Usual case for two hosts (besides VMware) is cluster software where only one hosts access the LUN until there is a failover

If two or more hosts have access to the same LUN, you must have clustering software running on the hosts. The array provides no protection in this case.
