Reconnect to a VNX array through Unisphere
Sometimes when you close the connection to the VNX array through Unisphere it does not close completely/correctly and when you try to reconnect some time ago it is impossible to make it and the following message appear "An instance of this browser is already running Unisphere. You cannot have de application running multiples times within the same instance of a browser".
Is there any way to break the actual connection with the VNX array in order to reconnect again?

yeah, Firefox is really bad about that. Sometimes when Unisphere locks up on me and i kill the window, Firefox process is still running in the background.

Nothing much to do on the array part. It simply signifies that either a instance is running somewhere on your PC or not properly closed. Go to the task manager->Processes. Force close it and then you can very well open another instance of the Unisphere.
Thanks

thanks to both for your answers. To which process do you refer? iexplore.exe? java.exe? I remember one time the only way to reconnect to VNX was restarting my laptop.

Never seen it yet, but you can try to restart the management servers. This can be done by http://ip address of SPA/setup log on and look for “restart management server”. Do the same for SPB. Restarting is nondisruptive.

1. Open a browser window to access "https:// ip>/Logout" to log out of Unisphere.
2. Log back in to Unisphere.
