Setup VNX / Celerra and Kerberos
Hello
My client has a VNX 5500 Unified box, with NFS shares.
He would like to setup the Kerberos authentication to access the NFS shares, but I cannot manage to do this...
The fact is that:
- the KDC server is in fact the Windows 2003 Active Directory domain controller
- the clients which will mount the NFS share are Unix systems
I followed the documentation, but:
- when following procedure for a windows KDC - just setup the secure NFS service - nothing work
- when following the Unix procedure - using server_kerberos -kadmin, nothing work neither
My client has generated, on the KDC, principals for the machine, but I don't know what to do with this file. I tried to upload it to /.etc/krb5.keytable, but when I run server_kerberos -keytable, I still the 'default' principals.
And finally, whatever I try, the clients never get a Kerberos ticket (with klist), thus cannot connect to the share.
I see no error from the VNX box, neither the client.
How could I troobleshoot ?? does the control station need to have access to the KDC permanently ??
Thanks in advance
jithin
