SnapView disk errors

I'm a SCOM 2007 admin and our monitoring is catching these logical disks (as Windows sees them) Snap Shots or whatever they are called and saying there are problems with them. One of the problems it reports is that the dirty bit is set to true and the disks are dirty. Also, it looks like the disks don't always get "cleared" (if that's the right term) correctly. Can anyone here tell me the correct way or if this is normal behavior of this product? I know they are scripting the mounting of the snapshots and they do get assigned a drive letter. Are there other ways to do this so that the monitoring environment won't complain about them. Please do not say to just override the monitoring software that is always an option but in this case is not the first choice.

thanks
