Sniffer function

Hi All,

I am interested by the sniffer function  and i would like to learn more about it

I know that the navisecli setsniffer/getsniffer starts/retrieves a background verify process on volumes.

And i would like to know if it's disruptive for the production ? and does it exist a sniffer tool accordingly used to track proactively
errors on disks ? and how can i get it/use it if yes ?
