VNX /Celerra Simulator 7.1.4.7.5-2DM
Hi,
I have some questions on the VNX simulator, any help is much appreciated.
Q1. Why does Unisphere show the system model as VNX VG2, did I install the wrong VMs ?
When I open a VM the only configuration image that workstation 9 will load is the " Other Linux 2.6.x kernel 64-bit"
Q2. I suppose the Raid Groups are already pre created for this simulator and there is no way to select disks to create other Raid Groups ?
I do not see any options to create new Raid groups.

backend is no a real array so they must be using VG2 as a name place holder, this applies to your question raid group, storage is already "pre-created"

Thanks for the information. I tried configuring LUNs using the CLI but it does not show up in Unisphere.
Can you create LUNs using the simulator ? I can't see any create LUNs options.

NO – this is a VNX file (NAS) simulator – NOT a VNX block or Unified simulator
