VNX OE Block - Initialization wizard Problem!

I've readed that the only known issues about VNX  5100 for block during the initialization: are CSA and Firewalls.

What should be the problem if i connect a 10-100 hub between laptop and SP managment Ports, without CSA and without firewall, and still the computer cannot be discovered?

Something strange is that the first time i've ran the initialization wizard, the box was discovered. And after that we never can saw again the vnx. The ip address never was assigned...we just cancel the wizard because all the boxes appears in gray and untouchable. (CSA problem and firewall discarded)

Now we are receiving a message suggesting some kind of inestability in one of booth SP when running the initialization.error2.jpg

Regards!

Have you solved this issue? I guess that you did. What was the workaround?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

Best regards,

I have installed many VNX arrays and had this problem many times.  I also have VMware Workstation on my laptop.  I discovered if I disable the virtual adapaters from VMware workstation BEFORE running the VIA it works everytime!  If I leave the virtual interfaces enabled it fails everytime.

If it starts and fails in the middle without assigning an IP address, I have used a primus article to reset the array back to factory defaults, then disable my virtual adapters and everytime the Install wizard has worked.

May be I solve this problem.

If you connect managament network in the service pors - you can initializate VNX.

After you must restore normal IP connectivity (management network connect to management ports).

And next - your VNX is ready to use
