VNX SnapShot Comparation

Hi,

I want to know if there is performance impact if I use Snap Mount Point rather than using Source LUN in VNX SnapShot

Customer environment identical between Prod and DR site including Server

Prod Site : 1 VNX 5700 and 2 RPA

DR Site : 1 VNX 5700 and 2 RPA

Prod site and DR site are replicated using RPA

Logical diagram

Scenario testing

- stop all activities in prod site

- make sure all data push in DR site and create vnx snapshot in DR site

- run a process in prod site

- mount DR using Snap Mount Point

- there is a time different when customer ran a process in prod and DR site. process time in prod site faster than DR site

my question.

The slower time process in DR site, is it because of I mounted using VNX Snap Mount Point rather than using LUN source in DR site
