VNX5300 Storage Processor in reboot loop

I have a SP which is flashing amber and seems to be in a infinite reboot loop, I swapped the SPs out with the box turned off and the problem follows the unit. There's nothing obviously wrong with it.

I ordered one of the tiny DB9 to regular DB9 cables so I can maybe get some insight. The box is out of warranty, is there anything I can do to try to resolve/re-flash/fix this without buying a new SP? they seem to be about $1800...

Note: the array works fine, but obviously the status is amber and the SP just keeps rebooting so there's no redundancy.

Thanks!

What faults are showing up for the faulty sp, are you sure it's rebooting ?

If you're fairly sure it's rebooting, how long does it stay "up" between reboots.

There have been a few bugs in the past where Recoverpoint was present also, that could cause sp panics, but I think this affected both sp's.

edit: I'm assuming your cable hasn't arrived so you can't get any insight direct yet

Usually we can find some information in VNX's SPCollets logs:

How to Run the SP Collect Utility and Retrieve SP Collect Files to Collect Information from a VNX SP

But only EMC support engineers or service partners know how to parse the files, you might contact your account manager or local EMC reseller for help. I believe they can find someone to check the logs for you.

The following KBs might help you as well, but only EMC support engineers or service partners can access them,
