in general yes - if they are checked against the drive compatibility matrix

But you need to work that through your local support to ensure that our site data and warranty status is updated

The drives on the source array are the same models, and running the same version of firmware on them as the target array. So from that point, don't believe there should be an issue.  Appreciate what you say about site data and warranty, just waiting on confirmation from vendor on this. Thanks

I'm trying to do something very similar by replacing SAS drives on our 5500 with SSDs from our 5300.  Hopefully they offer some code to run so the system doesn't freak out when a different drive type is introduced.
